In the mid autumn of 2005, Andrew Chong and I started the journey which has been planned for

2 years to the north of Xinjiang(新疆).

The journey start with 5 hrs on plane to Urumqi(烏魯木齊), following an overnight ride on bus

+ another 3 hrs car riding to Kanasi Lake(喀納斯湖). Here are the Moon Bay(月亮灣) ,

Celestial Bay (神仙灣) and the Fish Pavilion (觀魚亭)

We hired horses for 3 days. The 1st day it took 11 hrs horse riding to Hemu (禾木), a beautiful

village.

When we came back, we visit the Ghost City(魔鬼城) & the Wu Forest(胡楊林) at Wu烏爾禾.

Then stay in the carpet-tent(氈房)of the local minority(哈薩克人) and enjoy the goal meal next

to the Shylimo Lake(賽里木湖)

After that we hired another car to the 2nd large Nanatei Prairie(那拉堤草原) in China.

The last 2 days we were back in Urumqi(烏魯木齊) , spending half a day in the Sky Lake(天池)

and the other time walking around the city.
